Traffic and Transport Consultancy Services

Established in 2008, Midson Traffic provides high quality traffic and transport consultancy services in Tasmania to meet the needs of state and local governments, developers and the business community.

Our services include traffic impact assessments (TIA's), transport studies, road safety audits (RSA's), road safety investigations, traffic expert witness (land use planning and vehicular crash investigations), corridor studies, traffic data collection, traffic engineering and design, car parking assessments and design, and transport policy

Directors

Keith Midson

Keith has 28 years’ experience in traffic engineering and transport planning and has two Masters degrees in these fields with Monash University. He has worked on large and small scale transportation studies relating to infrastructure and transport planning projects throughout Australia and overseas.

In 2016, Keith was appointed by the Premier of Tasmania to lead a congestion management taskforce to identify the causing factors and appropriate solutions to overcome traffic congestion within Hobart and its approaches.

Keith was President of the Tasmanian Division of Engineers Australia in 2012. He has also held various senior roles with Engineers Australia, including Deputy Chair of the National Committee of Transportation Engineers and a member of National Congress. He has previously been a member of the Executive Board of the Institute of Transportation Engineers, Australia/ NZ division and highly regarded in industry for traffic engineering, traffic modelling and road safety studies. Keith was awarded Tasmanian Professional Engineer of the Year award with Engineers Australia in 2016
